• The Short Story: Coming off an impressive performance last week at the Mount St. Mary's Duals, the top-ranked Johns Hopkins women's cross country team won the Shannon Henretty Invitational at Stevenson University as JHU finished 1-5 in the race, led by senior
Felicia Koerner.
Race Highlights
After missing the first race of the season, Korner showed little rust as she won the race with a time of 22:48.31, 36 seconds ahead of teammate
Therese Olshanski, who finished second. Coming in almost a second behind Olshanski was
Rebecca Grusby who was closely followed to the finish line by
Gina D'Addario ad
Arielle Summitt. Summitt finished just fractions of a second ahead of Leanne Weaver of Messiah.

• "For the women, again we rested many of our top girls and I was very pleased to see us still take the top 5 spots."
• "Felicia looked amazing returning to her winning ways. Our top 4 girls packed up so well and stuck together through 2k before Koerner separated from the pack and never looked back."
• "Gina, Therese, and Rebecca all then ran the last 4k together with Arielle Summit having a strong late race push to complete the sweep. I think Arielle passed about 10 runners over the final 1000m showing off her speed. A lot of the freshman shined in their first ever 6k race and we'll continue to focus on staying healthy to be able to obtain our long term season goals."
