Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men’s Lacrosse Closes Home Slate

The Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team concluded its 2019 home schedule against Ursinus, falling 20-11.

The Mules (10-5, 3-4 CC) led the 13th-ranked Bears (11-2, 5-2 CC) 6-5 on the heels of a five-goal run over a 7:14 span that covered the end of the first quarter and beginning of the second. Freshman James Dalimonte scored the first and last goals - one of which was from behind the back - of the run, sandwiching tallies from junior Bobby McLoughlin and sophomores Colin Adams and Ethan Grossman. Ursinus broke the game open by scoring the next 10 goals.

Dalimonte totaled four points on two goals and two assists. The frosh has scored in every game this season, including nine multi-goal games; he has more than one point in all but two games. His two tallies give him a team-best 39 on the year and pull him within two of Grossman's single-season program record.

Grossman scored twice himself on the night, moving into a tie for fifth on the all-time scoring list with 76 goals and third on the single-season list with 35. They also give him 67 points for the year, putting him within six of tying the single-season program mark he set last season.

Adams finished with the first hat trick of his career and added a pair of helpers for a career-best five points. McLoughlin and sophomore Thomas Murphy finished with a goal and an assist each.

The Mules won 20 of 35 faceoffs. Junior Frankie Feaster tied for the fourth-most faceoff wins in a single game with 19; he also won 19 faceoffs against Ursinus last season. Muhlenberg's prowess at the X led to a team-best nine ground balls from freshman Maxwell Seeber.

On the defensive end, sophomore Alexander Giaquinto (pictured above) corralled five ground balls and classmate Matt Hager collected four. Sophomore Michael Fodi caused a career-high four turnovers.
