Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Ties Dickinson

The Muhlenberg women's soccer team gained its first Centennial Conference point of the season, battling nationally ranked Dickinson to a scoreless draw.

The Red Devils (6-0-3, 2-0-1) came into the game ranked fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Region and 19th in Division III. Among their impressive results are a 1-1 tie with No. 3 Christopher Newport and a 2-1 win at then-No. 12 Swarthmore.

Dickinson had not been shut out all season, but the Mules (4-3-1, 0-2-1) recorded their fifth clean sheet in eight games this season.

Senior Libby Juliano tied a career high with 14 saves in recording her 14th career shutout. She made an outstanding save with her feet on a breakaway in the 71st minute and dove to her right to turn away a header four minutes later.

Five players - senior Madison Ingling, juniors Carly Shaffer (pictured above) and Hannah Merlo, sophomore Kayleigh Durning and freshman Alexandra Chirinkin - played on the back line in front of Juliano, contributing to the shutout.
