Last Week

Franklin and Marshall fell to Ursinus 22-7 in last week's Centennial Conference game. The F&M defense forced four interceptions in the game, but the offense struggled to move the ball, only totaling 176 yards. It is the second time this season that the Diplomat defense tied the school record for most picks in a single-game, after intercepting 25th-ranked Susquehanna four times earlier this fall. Owen Walsh tallied two picks, while Dante Medlar and Matt Wertz each had one interception.

The Diplomats lone touchdown came on a three-yard run by Aaron Rascoe that capped a 59-yard drive in the fourth quarter. Rascoe is tied for 18th in the nation for both rushing touchdowns (five) and total touchdowns (six).

In addition to his two interceptions, Walsh also had a team-high 14 tackles in the game. Jacob Hille finished with 12 total tackles, while Matt Scully and Brian Lafty recorded 10 total tackles each. Read the recap here.

The No. 14 Blue Jays downed Franklin & Marshall 66-10 during its matchup in the 2021 season. Down 20-3 in the second quarter, F&M's defense forced JHU to punt deep from its own territory. Jacob Hille broke through the line to block the punt, sending the ball into the endzone where Ryan McArthur recovered it to score the only Diplomat touchdown of the day. Read the recap here.

The last time the Diplomats beat the Blue Jays was during the 2019 season, where F&M upset No. 14 JHU, 20-17. Keshon Farmer '21 ran for 136 yards on 21 carries, while punching in two touchdowns. All three F&M scores were rushing touchdowns, with the third coming on a 68-yard touchdown carry from Joe Hartley-Vittoria '20 in the fourth quarter. The Diplomat defense produced two separate goal-line stands to help F&M complete the upset. Read the recap here.
