SWARTHMORE, Pa. - No. 4-ranked Swarthmore College baseball fell 7-4 to Elizabethtown College on Friday, one day before it begins Centennial Conference action.
The Garnet, 12-4 overall this season, were 5-0 at home before falling to the Blue Jays (6-13). In fact, they've won 23 of their last 26 home games dating back to April 29, 2017.
Swarthmore senior left fielder
Charles Levitt also had a 16-game hit streak snapped in the loss despite walking twice, scoring two runs and stealing three bases. He had a hit in every Swarthmore game this season.
Senior designated hitter
Jackson Roberts expanded Swarthmore's lead to 3-0 with a two-run home run over the left-center field fence that clanked off of the PPR Apartments. He's now homered in back-to-back games. His second home run of the season gives him 12 for his collegiate career.
A double gave Elizabethtown its first run in the fifth, and Swarthmore's lead evaporated in the sixth as the Blue Jays plated four.

Holden Bridge's RBI double gave Swarthmore its last run in the sixth.

Drew McMahan combined for 2.2 scoreless innings of relief, but the Garnet were unable to put together a rally. They stranded 11 runners on base in the loss. Elizabethtown only left three on base in its win.
Swarthmore's quest for back-to-back Centennial titles begins tomorrow as it travels to Chestertown, Md., to take on Washington College in a doubleheader. The Shoremen are 17-2 this season.
