• The Short Story: Riley O'Toole put Johns Hopkins on top in the first half before Emily Maheras put the icing on the cake, defeating Dickinson for the second time this year to advance to the Elite Eight.

How it Happened
• In the 33^rd minute of a scoreless game, freshman Abigail Gerdes hit one off the bar, but O'Toole was there for the rebound, netting it for her fifth goal this season and a 1-0 lead.  
• Maheras continued her unbelievable season, scoring on a penalty kick in the 67^th minute to extend the lead to 2-0 and ice it away for Johns Hopkins.
• Caitlin Hendricks made eight saves in a shutout effort, registering her fifth straight clean sheet, last allowing a goal in the ninth minute of a November 2^nd contest against Franklin & Marshall.     
 
What it Means
• The Blue Jays advance to the Elite Eight where they will meet host William Smith at 1 pm tomorrow afternoon
• This will be the seventh Elite Eight appearance in program history and second in the last five seasons.
• Johns Hopkins will meet the Herons, the owners of the longest winning streak in the country at the Division III level.  
 
Inside the Box Score
• Maheras became the fourth player in Hopkins history to score a goal in seven or more straight games. The senior now has 30 goals for her career.
• O'Toole's goal was the 25^th of her Johns Hopkins career, joining Maheras as the second player this season to reach that milestone.
• Hendricks earned her fifth straight clean sheet. Hendricks has been in net for 531:15 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal. That streak is the eighth-best in program history.
