WINCHESTER, Va. - Led by two top 10 course times, the McDaniel College women's cross country team finished second at the Hornet Harrier Invitational hosted by Shenandoah University on Saturday.
The Green Terror totaled 81 points to finish second behind Washington and Lee. Mary Washington and Ursinus tied with 83 points, but Mary Washington finished third based on tiebreakers.
Senior
Bailey Mullen finished first in the 5k race, posting a personal-best time of 19:30.9 which was good for second on the McDaniel top 10 performers list on the Shenandoah course.
Senior
Megan O'Neill placed 11th with a personal-best time of 21:12.1, a mark that was the seventh-fastest in program history on the Shenandoah course. SeniorÂ
Ashley Siebenhaar also had a personal-best with a time of 23:15.5 to finish 21st.
Freshman
Piper Nagaraj came in 23rd with a time of 23:17.2. while freshman
Anna Kale placed 33rd with a time of 24:30.4. FreshmanÂ
Arianna Lowengrub followed in 34th place with a personal-best time of 24:44.7.
McDaniel is back in action on Friday, Sept. 30 at the prestigious Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
