WESTMINSTER, Md.—With a 9-0 sweep of the McDaniel College Green Terror on Saturday, Swarthmore heads into the Centennial Conference Tournament as the second seed. Swarthmore will play third-seeded Haverford on Saturday in the Centennial semifinals.

The Garnet, now 12-11 overall and 8-1 in Centennial action, had no issue with the Green Terror on Saturday. The Green Terror were short a player in both singles and doubles and had to concede two points to the Garnet right away.

Devan Geib and William Teoh, and Max Gruber and Neel Gupta both won their doubles matches 8-3.

Weiyi Zhu played top singles for Swarthmore and won 6-1, 6-4. Teoh claimed second singles 6-3, 6-2. Gruber earned his second win with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at fifth singles. Gupta picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at fourth singles. Minki Kim completed the sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout in fifth singles.

The time of the Centennial Conference semifinal round with Haverford will be announced on Monday.
