The Muhlenberg wrestling team won two of three matches in a quad at King's.

After dropping their opener to Alvernia, 27-21, the Mules (4-3) came back late to defeat host King's, 31-21, then dominated from start to finish in a 53-3 win against Pitt-Bradford. 

Sophomore 125-pounder Joey Lamparelli won both of his bouts on pins, and freshman 157-pounder Anson Dewar also won both of his contested bouts. Senior heavyweight Ramiro Osuna went 3-0 with a first-minute pin and a pair of forfeits.

Dewar's pin, combined with first-period technical falls by freshman Frank DiEsso (125) and senior Ronnie Grevera (165) and a 9-5 decision by freshman Chris Sockler at 149, gave Muhlenberg a 19-11 lead after six bouts against King's. But the Monarchs won the next two bouts on a pin and a major decision to retake the lead, 21-19.

Junior Hunter Gill (pictured above) put the Mules back ahead by pinning his opponent late in the first period, and Osuna clinched the win by flattening his opponent in just 58 seconds.

Only one bout of the Pitt-Bradford match went past the first period. Lamparelli, junior Jeorcy Peña (141), sophomore Riley McHale (157) and freshman Fletcher Goodman (174) all pinned their opponents in the first period, and sophomore Ezra Toll needed little more than two minutes to record his first career technical fall.
