• The Short Story: Trailing 2-1 at the half, the eighth-ranked Johns Hopkins women's soccer team came back, scoring four times in the second-half to defeat York, 5-2 on the road on Wednesday night.
How it Happened
• JHU got on the board first as
Toni Abate scored her first goal of the season off a corner kick. Abate took the pass from
Insa Mannstadt and put the ball into the back of the net at 6:27.
• The Spartans scored two goals in just over five minutes to take a 2-1 lead. Jenna Cholowinski set up Caitlin Rankin for the goal in the 25
th minute while the second goal was scored at 30:31 after Macayla Welsh set up Emily Munkittrick who put the ball past
Robyn Lipschultz.

Maggie Coulson tied the game in the 47
th minute as she got the ball of a York defender's foot and buried the game-tying goal.
• Hopkins took the lead at 54:32 as
Kristen Hori got past her defender and placed the ball in the upper right corner of the net for her second goal of the year.
• Mannstadt put the Blue Jays up two with her goal at 66:56 as she got by the York defense and put the ball into the back of the net for her first goal of the season.
• Coulson added another goal at 72:16 as she headed the ball in off a scramble in front of the net off a corner kick by
Samantha Hoffman and the Blue Jays completed the comeback victory, defeating the Spartans, 5-2.
What it Means
• Hopkins is now 5-0-0 against the Spartans.
• With the 12 goals on Saturday and the five tonight, the Blue Jays have scored a total of 17 goals on consecutive games, which is the most the team has ever scored in back-to-back games in program history. The previous high was 16 which the team achieved in 1996 as they scored eight goals in back-to-back games against Swarthmore and Stevenson.
