CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swimming team returned to the Clarke Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon for the first time since November 19th. Unfortunately, for the Red and White it was not a very happy homecoming as the visiting Bloomsburg University picked up a 174-50 win.
The top finishing team for Dickinson in the 200-yard medley relay consisted of
Nolan Chenot,
Daulton Kendall,
Daniel Vasquez, and
Justin Wong as they posted a time of 1:42.74 for fourth.
Reid Schattgen had a solid showing during the 200-yard freestyle finishing second in 1:49.95. The trio of
Aidan Keillor,
Ben Lilly, and Vasquez occupied fifth (1:53.89), sixth (1:58.56), and seventh (2:00.13).
Frederico Colloca-Bianchi fell just outside a podium spot in the 50-yard backstroke by touching the wall in 27.46 for fourth, while
Patrick Dunn nabbed sixth (31.45).
Two Devils competed in the 50-yard breaststroke as Wong and
Henry Lease took second (28.74) and sixth (30.54) respectively.
Chenot seized the final podium spot for the 100-yard butterfly by clocking in at 56.49. The trio of
Andrew Kelley (57.28),
Paul Florio (57.46) and
Sam Strieb (1:06.24) also took part in the event.
Alex Kanard gave a strong effort in the 50-yard freestyle taking fourth with a time of 22.82, while Kendall landed in sixth (22.97) and
Avery Coonin followed at seventh (25.60).
Schattgen posted his second second-place result of the afternoon during the 100-yard freestyle by stopping the clock at 50.88. Kelley joined him in the Top-5 with a time of 52.72 being good for fifth.
Two Devils grabbed Top-5 spots in the 100-yard backstroke with Colloca-Bianchi and Dunn taking fourth (59.42) and fifth (1:07.03).
Wong secured a podium slot within the 100-yard breaststroke claiming second at 1:03.66, while Lease nabbed fourth (1:06.28) and Keillor took sixth (1:06.94).
Chenot grabbed his second third-place result during the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 24.80, followed by Kendall in fifth (25.43).
A trio of DC athletes swam together in the 100-yard individual medley as the group of Wong (57.32), Vasquez (59.52), and Kelley (1:00.31) occupied third through fifth.
Dickinson earned a podium spot in the 200-yard freestyle relay as the group of Chenot, Kanard, Kendall, and Schattgen claimed second at 1:30.25, while the unit of
Sunil Surprenant, Keillor, Lease, and Lilly took fifth in 1:37.01.

The Red and White returns to action on Wednesday night when they make the short trip down to York for a matchup with the Spartans on York College at 6pm.
