In its final tuneup before hosting the Centennial Conference Championships, the Muhlenberg men's golf team took first place at the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational.
The Mules finished the first day of the scheduled two-day tournament with a team score of 320, two strokes ahead of Scranton and four in front of Moravian. The second round was rained out.
The tournament title was the first for the Mules this year and their 10th in the last five years.Â

Ben Lieberman won medalist honors after shooting a 75. He tied teammate and classmate
Ellis Focht for the lowest score and won the tiebreaker on a match of cards, shooting a 36 on the back 9 to Focht's 37. It was the first career title for Lieberman
(pictured above) in a tournament with more than three teams.
