MEDIA, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Cross Country raced to first place at the Bryn Mawr Invitational at Rose Tree Park on Friday afternoon.
Freshman Nora Blodgett led the pack in the 5K, finishing first overall with a time of 20:42.9 in her first collegiate meet. Seniors Xiaojing Zeng and Kenzie Himelein-Wachowiak came in right behind her at second and third, respectively.
Phoebe Whiteside crossed the finish line in seventh overall (21:29.0), and freshman Rose Teszler earned the 16th score with a time of 22:27.1. Swarthmore's overall score was 29, well ahead of second-place Eastern which had 65.
Swarthmore will be hosting its Alumnae Meet on Sept. 8.
