Maddy Rocks were blocked by Ally Wojton.

Michelle Santangelo broke the scoreless tie as
Kristen Hori sent a pass to Santangelo, who tapped the ball into the net at 18:49.
• The Blue Jays increased their lead to two goals as Lupton-Smith sent a pass to Rocks, whose shot from outside the box sailed over the outstretched hands of Cavalier keeper Ashley Tutzauer at 26:51.
• Cabrini got on the board at 53:59 as Katelyn Gilinger sent a ball over to Alex Garces near the top of the box and she floated a shot past
Robyn Lipschultz to make it a one-goal game.

Emily Maheras put Hopkins back up by two with her goal at 70:26. Maheras collected a Lupton-Smith pass at the top of the box and placed the shot past Tutzauer for the 3-1 lead and the Blue Jays held on to advance to the second round.

• Hopkins is now 26-13-3 in the NCAA Tournament and improves to 21-1 at home and 11-4-1 in opening-round games.
• JHU advances to the second round for the second straight season and 10
th time in the last 11 years.
