• The Short Story: Bradley Parsons hit the first home run of the game for the Johns Hopkins baseball team as JHU hit two more homers on the day as the Blue Jays knocked off Washington College, 10-7, on the road on Thursday afternoon.

How it Happened
• Hopkins loaded the bases in the bottom of the second, and for the second straight game, one swing of the bat cleared them as Parsons took the pitch over the left field wall to give JHU an early 4-0 lead. The Shoremen responded in the bottom of the inning on a three-run shot by Ryan Colbert to make it a one-run game.
• Back-to-back homers from Chris Festa and Nate Davis in the third gave Hopkins a 6-3 advantage.
• McCracken worked around a leadoff single in the third as he got the next batter to ground into a double play. Ryan Zwier followed with a double, but McCracken would leave him stranded.
• WC hit the fifth ball out of the park during the game as Jack Kingman's solo shot cut the Blue Jay lead to 6-4.
• The Blue Jays added two runs in the sixth on RBI hits from Mark Lopez and Mike Eberle to make it 8-4, however, Washington College got those two runs back in the bottom of the inning on a Luke D'Ostilio solo shot and an RBI from Colbert to cut the Hopkins lead to 8-6.
• Davis gave Hopkins two insurance runs with his double down the left field line to make it a 10-6 game.
• Hejka entered the game in the seventh and proceeded to get a double play to end the seventh and the senior retired the Shoremen in order in the eighth. A one-out homer by Ben Ruvo made it a 10-7, but Hejka got the final two outs to seal the 10-7 win.
