SWARTHMORE, Pa.—No. 13 Swarthmore College Men's Basketball battered the Washington College Shoremen 83-51 at home on Tuesday night to open up the Centennial Conference season. The Garnet (3-0) led by 10 at halftime and then poured it on in the second half to dump the Shoremen to 3-2 on the year.

Four Garnet players reached double figures while just one did so for the Shoremen. Cam Wiley and Zac O'Dell led all players with 15 points each, and both of those players had 11 points at halftime. O'Dell completed the double-double by pulling down 12 rebounds as well. O'Dell helped pick apart Washington's 1-3-1 zone defense with some crisp passing and he finished the night with a game-high six assists.

Conor Harkins dropped in 11 points, and George Visconti posted 10 points.

Swarthmore overwhelmed Washington on the glass, out-rebounding the visitors 42-16. Swarthmore's 12 offensive rebounds led directly to 13 second-chance points.

The Garnet shot 50.9 percent from the floor and an even 50 percent from 3-point range. The Garnet also finished with a season-high 78.3 percent shooting performance from the free-throw line.

Dallas Marshall led Washington with 11 points, and the Shoremen were held to a 36.5 percent output from the floor.
