• The Short Story: The ninth-ranked Johns Hopkins men's soccer team scored a goal in each half en route to a 2-1 win over host St. Mary's Wednesday night in non-conference action.

• Senior Achim Younker gave the Blue Jays the early lead when he collected a ball from a Seahawks' defender and then volleyed a shot over Patrick Paolini in the 12^th minute. Senior Liam Moylan pushed Hopkins' lead to two in the 52^nd minute when Moylan buried a pass from junior Jonathon Brown.
• St. Mary's ended Hopkins' bid at a shutout in the 78^th minute when Khalid Balogun beat junior Xander LeFevre on a header off a Jacob Breslauer corner kick.
 
What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 25-0-0 all-time against St. Mary's, including 13-0-0 on the road.
• The loss was the first of the season for St. Mary's, which entered the game with a 6-0-1 record.
