The Finish Line
- Leading the way for the Bullets was Crosby, who placed fourth among 76 competitors. He was timed at 27:14.2, which is a new personal-record, in the 8,000-meter course.
- McKeever was next across the line for Gettysburg, placing right behind in fifth (27:15.9).
- Norelli and Elliott were also close behind, taking eighth (27:35.3) and 10th (27:39), respectively.
- Rounding out the team scoring for the Bullets was sophomore William Hopkins (Raleigh, N.C./Needham B. Broughton), who placed 12th in 27:49.2.
- Finishing as displacers were senior Sam Sheldon (Tully, N.Y./Tully), who took 13th in 27:49.5, and freshman Joseph Potz (Crestline, Calif./Rim of the World), who took 14th in 27:49.7.
