Luca Cerbin and senior
Jared Hunt both broke Swarthmore College Outdoor Track & Field records on Saturday at the Lions Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey.
Cerbin set the school record in the javelin by sending it 56.74 meters (186 feet 2 inches). He took second place at the meet with his throw that ranks second in the Centennial Conference and 31st in Division III this season.
Hunt continues to break his own shot put record. This time he launched it 15.79m (51ft 9.75in). His shot put ranks first in the conference by more than three feet, and he sits at 21st in all of Division III. He place third at TCNJ on Saturday.

Benjamin Hejna also placed third in the long jump at 6.65m (21ft 10in).

Ryan Marrone also moved up in the Swarthmore ranks to No. 2 all-time in the discus behind Hunt. Marrone reached 44.58m (146ft 3in) to take fifth place at TCNJ. Hunt and Marrone are first and second in the conference this season.
Swarthmore will try to turn its efforts into medals on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Centennial Conference Championships in Allentown, Pa.
