Sears Leads Men to Fourth at Baltimore Metro Meet

BALTIMORE, Md. - McDaniel College men's cross country freshman Jack Sears finished 26th overall to lead the Green Terror to a fourth-place finish at the Baltimore Metro Meet hosted by Goucher Thursday.

McDaniel totaled 127 points to finish behind Johns Hopkins, Elizabethtown and Susquehanna.

In his first collegiate meet, Sears completed the 5K course in a time of 16:41.2. He was one of four Green Terror who made their collegiate debut on Thursday.

Junior Nick Raumann placed 37th in 17:23.5 while sophomore Tyler Richardson crossed the line with a time of 17:29.8. Freshman Ronan Perrone was the fourth Green Terror to complete the course, giving the team four runners in the top-50 as he placed 47th with a time of 17:40.9.

McDaniel has 15 days before returning to action on Friday, Sept. 16 when they will split the team at the Navy Invitational and the Charger Invite hosted by Lancaster Bible.
