HAVERFORD, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Track & Field competed at the McElligott Invitational on Saturday at Haverford College.
Swarthmore's Clay Conley won the shot put with a throw of 13 meters on the last throw, setting a mark more than two meters further than the second-place finisher's mark.
The Garnet finished in second in the 4x200m and 4x400 relays with times of 1:51.27 and 4:16.97, respectively.
In the 800m, Sydney Covitz booked a time of 2:24.69 for second overall and the top college time at the event.
In the mile, sophomore Emma Novak took third place with a time of 5:31.06. Teammates Nora Blodgett (5:31.96) and Kenzie Himelein-Wachowiak (5:31.74) weren't far behind and took fourth and fifth.
Maya Zimmerman placed third in the long jump with a leap of 4.71m.
Swarthmore is back in action on Feb. 2 at Ursinus College.
