th-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team beat visiting Gettysburg, 5-0, on Saturday in the 2019 Centennial Conference Semifinals.

How it Happened
• Hopkins jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a doubles' sweep and then two quick wins in singles sent the Blue Jays to the championship match. Freshman

Katie Gauch lost just one game as they beat Shaye Barnes and Alexis Rinker at third doubles to give JHU the 1-0 lead.

Dhanya Asokumar and senior
Kimberly Zou followed with an 8-3 win over Maddie Class and Maria Martinovic at second. Sophomore
Anjie Kashyap and junior
Sophia Strickland closed out doubles with an 8-2 win at first over Samantha Boardman and Amanda Vinges.
• Freshman
Amanda Ruci grabbed the first singles point and pushed the Blue Jays closer to victory as she beat Rinker 6-0, 6-0 at sixth singles. Asokumar then clinched the win when she defeated Vinges 6-0, 6-0 at second.

What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 20-15 all-time against Gettysburg and has now won 19 straight in the series.
• JHU has now won 15 straight matches, one shy of tying the program record.
• The Blue Jays are now 25-1 all-time in the Centennial Conference Tournament and will play in the championship match for the 13
th time.
• Strickland is now tied for 13
th in program history as she earned her 43
rd career doubles win. Zou now has 96 total wins in her career, leaving her just four shy of becoming the sixth player in program history to reach the century mark.
