GETTYSBURG, Pa.—No. 25 Swarthmore College Women's improved to 10-4 overall and 6-1 in Centennial matches this season with a road win at Gettysburg College on Monday afternoon.
The Garnet nearly had the perfect sweep of the Bullets, but dropped top doubles in a tiebreaker game.
Emma Kassan and Grace Dignazio won 8-2 in second doubles and Shivani Gupta and Audrey Haring swept third doubles 8-0.
Kassan got her second win of the day in first singles 6-3, 6-4. Sophie Brown needed seven games to win her first set, but then over-powered her opponent 6-0 in the second set.
Elise Talley won 6-3, 6-1 in third singles, and Haring won her seance match with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep in fourth singles.
Grace Dignazio chalked up a 6-1, 6-0 win in fifth singles. Shivani Gupta's sixth singles match went in her favor, 6-1, 6-2.
Swarthmore's busy week, which has four matches in total, continues on Tuesday at Haverford College.
