BALTIMORE, Md. – Swarthmore College Field Hockey fell to No. 10 Johns Hopkins 5-0 on Saturday in Centennial play.
The Blue Jays opened the scoring just six minutes into the contest as Maddie Brow-Scherer found the back of the net.
Andie Tappenden tallied two shots, while
Quinn Basewtiz recorded one shot for the Garnet. Basewitz and Tappenden forced Kaitlin Hall to make a save in the last two minutes of play.
Aron Lankford faced a flurry of shots and recorded ten saves on 16 shots on goal. Johns Hopkins recorded 12 shots in the first quarter and 30 in the game. The Blue Jays added seven penalty corners in the game.
The Garnet fall to 4-8, and 1-6 in Centennial action. Swarthmore returns to action on Wednesday as the Garnet host Elizabethtown in non-conference action at 7:00 PM.
