Meet Highlights
  • Lauren Phillips had a strong showing for the Jays as she came in third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.68. Phillips also finished in 4th in the 200-meter run with a time of 25.54. Phillips' 60-meter time set a new Centennial Conference record, which was a record that stood since 2004. Her 7.68 dash time also currently is 2nd best in the country. Phillips' 200-meter time also cracked a top 10 mark in the nation coming in at 9th, and she came just shy a setting a conference record in that event as well. 
  • JHU had a strong showing in the mile run on both the men's and women's side. Isis Diaz, Sara Stephenson and Mackenzie Setton all took 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Adriana Catalano and Emma Kothari also had top 10 finishes. For the men, Daniel Chen and Bryce Thalheimer both finished in the top 5. Arthur Beyer also finished in the top 10 coming in 9th. Chen came in third place with a time of 4:13.47.
  • Victoria Kadiri competed in several events and had a solid day overall. Kadiri finished 4th in the long jump with 5.75 meters and third in the 3rd in the triple jump with 12.11 meters.
  • In the 800-meter run, Lily Sheth finished with a time of 2:24.32, good enough for 3rd in the event.
  • To round things out, JHU showed out in the 3000-meter run for the men's and women's teams. Molly Kuzma and Triya Roy both had top 5 finishes with Kuzma placing 2nd with a time of 10:18.47. For the men, Hopkins dominated with six runners coming in the top 10. Gavin McElhennon took the competition, coming in first with a time of 8:24.70. Charlie Teeter and Emmanuel Leblond also grabbed top five finishes.

  • JHU are back at it next weekend as they head back to Staten Island, New York to compete at the Gotham Cup on Friday, January 20th.
