GALLOWAY, N.J. -  The Haverford College men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with Stockton in non-conference action on the road Tuesday evening. The Fords (2-4-1) held a 13-10 edge in shots and a commanding 6-3 edge in corners against the Ospreys (4-4-1),  but were unable to break through for a winning goal.

Dylan Ioffreda made four saves in his 110 minutes of work, while his counterpart from Stockton Dino Gromitsaris stopped five shots. The contest started with a flurry of shots within the first 10 minutes of action, as the Fords fired three before earning a corner kick. Stockton had a strong scoring chance off a corner of their own in the 13th minute, and put another shot attempt on target in the 16th, but Ioffreda was able to corral the pair of attempts, putting two saves on his tally in the early goings.

Tomas Ascoli connected on a shot in the 23rd, but Gromitsaris dealt with the challenge. Ioffreda was then called into duty in the 33rd to yet again deny the Ospreys.

Nasseri rocketed two shots on goal in the first 20 minutes of the second half, and Paul-Andre Coulibaly had another strong look on goal n the 77th. Stockton had perhaps its best chance of regulation in the 88th minute as Peter Kozlej hit the crossbar with his shot attempt, but it was Haverford who had the intensity in the final minutes of action, with Coulibaly leading the charge and putting an attack firmly on target with just over 30 seconds to go in regulation.

Through the 90 minutes of regulation action, Haverford held a 13-8 advantage in shots. In the overtime period, Stockton saw its potential game-winner waved off due to an offside. Haverford controlled most of the tempo but was unable to find a shot attempt in the extra 20 minutes. Stockton put a last-ditch salvo on frame in the 104th minute, with Ioffreda making his final save of the evening to preserve the shutout.

Coulibaly finished the match with a game-high five shot attempts, putting two of those shots on frame. Nasseri also notched three shots including two shots on goal. The Fords are 4-0-1 all-time against Stockton. The two sides were meeting for the first time since the 2016 season. Men's Soccer made its first trip to the Garden State since an October 2019 meeting with Drew.

Haverford will jump right back into the conference slate, hosting No. 22 Johns Hopkins at Walton Field on Saturday. The contest is slated to begin at 3 p.m. and will be preceded by the women's team taking on the Blue Jays at noon.
