ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa.  – Junior Skylar Frankiewicz (Concord, Mass./Concord Carllisle) shot a 76 to earn individual honors and lead Gettysburg College to its second team title of the spring season at its own invitational held at the Hanover Country Club on Saturday-Sunday.

After posting a team score of 327 on Saturday, Gettysburg took five strokes off to card a 322 on Sunday, which is now the squad's lowest round total of the season, to beat York (Pa.) College by three strokes. York (Pa.), who sat in first after the opening round, placed second after shooting a 328 on Sunday (323-328=651), while Stevenson University claimed third with a team total of 653 (338-315).

The dynamic duo of Frankiewicz and classmate Hannah Fireman (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) have both dominated the course this spring as each has placed in the top five in the last three events. Frankiewicz shaved one stroke off on Sunday to capture first out of 33 competitors to finish a two-day total of 153 (77-76), which is now her season-low mark. She captured her first medalist honor of the season and the seventh of her career. Fireman finished runner-up after carding a 77 on the final day and a 78 in the opening round to tally a 155 overall.

Junior Katie McCarthy (Westlake, Ohio/Hathaway Brown School) finished with a total score of 167 (82-85) to tie for 11th with Laura Rentz from Stevenson.

Freshman Cameron D'Amica (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley) joined Frankiewicz and Fireman in dropping her score from day one as the first-year finished with an 84 and placed 14th overall with a 174 (90-84).

Senior Gillian Marini (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) rounded out the Gettysburg lineup in a tie for 23rd after posting a 92 on Sunday to register a combined score of 191 (99-92).

Gettysburg will next compete at the Centennial Conference Championships, which will be taking place in Lancaster, Pa. on April 27-28. The Bullets will enter the CC Championship as the eight-time defending champion.
