Match Summary
After winning 14 of 30 events in the previous three campaigns, Gettysburg made sure Badecki's debut at the helm was a successful one by taking the Weyhill Classic's top prize by five strokes over Alvernia University. The Bullets won its opening tournament for the first time since taking team honors at the Dickinson Invite in 2018-19.

Gettysburg just missed individual medalist honors with three players finishing one stroke off the lead. Alvernia's Joe Polidoro and Luke Fagley tied for the pole position at 74 with Polidoro earning the title via a better score on the back nine.

It was two familiar faces and a newcomer that led the Bullets in the opening event. Senior Hayden Moffat (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham), fresh off a breakout junior campaign which saw him earn All-Centennial Conference recognition, and junior Joseph Furlong (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) were joined by freshman Daniel Suter (Gaithersburg, Md./Milton Academy) in a tie for third with 75s. Suter and Moffat each tallied four birdies on the day, while Furlong posted two birdies. All three golfers birdied the par-5, 498-yard ninth hole.

Sophomore Cameron Deiuliis (Highland, Md./River Hill), the reigning CC Rookie of the Year, kicked off his second collegiate campaign by tying for sixth with a 77. He joined the aforementioned trio with a birdie on No. 9 and collected an eagle on the par-4, 362-yard 13th on the way to shooting a one-under 35 on the back nine.

Sophomore Drew Hurley (North Falmouth, Mass./Saddlebrook Prep (Fla.)) finished in a tie for 11th with a 79 in his collegiate debut. Hurley made it a perfect 5-for-5 for the Bullets on the ninth hole with his only birdie of the afternoon.
