GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- Swarthmore College Field Hockey trailed 2-0 in a game at Gettysburg College on Friday. The Garnet (6-9, 2-6) scored two goals in the second half and one in double overtime to pick up a 3-2 Centennial Conference victory.

Sophomores Ali Baratta and Halsey Hutchinson as well as freshman Emily Hapgood scored the goals for the Garnet. Sophomore Samie Martin and senior Riya Garg had assists.

Swarthmore outshot the Bullets (6-8, 3-5) 8-6 in the first half but failed to score. Gettysburg scored its only goals of the game in the 40th and 45th minutes.

Baratta scored Swarthmore's first goal during the 49th minute. She's now tied for the team lead with six goals this season and expands her team high in points to 15. Martin assisted the goal as she passed it to the front baseline for Baratta to score low to the right side of the cage.

Hutchinson's fourth goal of the season came in the 54th minute as she recovered a loose ball in front of the goal before shooting it high to the middle of the cage.

Hapgood's game-winning goal was the first goal of her career. Hapgood received a pass from Riya Garg in the 87th minute from the far side of the right wing and shot it in to seal the victory.
Garnet senior goalie Zelda Bank made eight saves in the win.
