LANCASTER, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's track and field team had a fantastic outing at the Little Dip Invitational, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College, on Friday evening as the Bullets broke into the program top-10 list in several events.
No team scoring was kept at the meet, which featured Division I and II.

- 60-Meter Dash: 4th (8.18 – second in program history)
- 200-Meter Dash: 6th (28.02)

- 500-Meter Run: 4th (1:28.92 – fourth in program history)
- 300-Meter Dash: 14th (48.88 – fourth in program history)

Meet Highlights
- DiOttavio improved her personal-record in the 60-meter dash for the second consecutive week. She ran 8.19 in the prelims and 8.18 in the finals to finish fourth. DiOttavio ranks second all-time in program history in the event. In the 200-meter dash, she cruised to a sixth-place showing out of 45 runners with a 28.02 time.
- The freshmen trio of Proto, Emily Trout (Ocean View, Del./Sussex Academy), and Keara Skae (Old Tappan, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) all cracked into the programs top-10 all-time list in the 500-meter run. Proto finished the race in fourth place (1:28.92), Trout in eighth (1:30.36), and Skae in 11th (1:32.14) and rank fourth, sixth, and eighth all-time, respectively.
- In her first career 300-meter dash, Morrell claimed sixth-place with a time of 45.30. She now ranks second all-time in program history in the event. In the 60-meter hurdles, she set a new personal-record with a 10.51 time to take 10th place.
- Four others now rank in the program's top-10 in the 300-meter dash – Proto (48.88 – fourth), Trout (49.24 – fifth), Skae (51.23 – sixth), and junior Olivia Farina (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) (52.35 – eighth).
- Senior Anna Pienkos (North Haven, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy) and sophomore Alexa Schauder (Cedar Knolls, N.J./Whippany Park) both competed in the high jump, placing seventh (4-07.00) and tied for eighth (4-07.00), respectively.
- Schauder also tied for fifth in the pole vault with a 9-00.25 mark, which ranks her tied for sixth all-time in program history. Freshman Olivia Taylor (Cortland Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) tied for ninth in the same event (8-00.00).
- Senior Jess Alessi (Nassau, N.Y./Ichabod Crane) tossed 41-06.00 in the weight throw to register eighth-place out of 41 competitors.
Coming Up
Gettysburg heads to the Frank Colden Invitational, hosted by Ursinus College, next Saturday, Feb. 5. Opening events begin at 10 a.m.
