• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins baseball team scored six first-inning runs as the Blue Jays snapped their two-game losing streak with a commanding 15-1 victory over Edgewood on Sunday morning.

How it Happened
• The Blue Jays opened up the game by putting six runs on the board in the top of the first. Jared deFaria was hit by a pitch to score Tim Kutcher and Chris DeGiacomo followed with a walk to force another JHU run. Bradley Parsons then hit a line drive down the third baseline to plate two more runs for Hopkins as the Blue Jays took a 4-0 lead. James Ingram doubled to left to score DeGiacomo and Matthew Ritchie later walked to force in the sixth run for Hopkins in the inning.
• The Eagles got on the board in the bottom of the first as Ryan Fields singled home Bryan Sternig to make the score 6-1.
• deFaria notched his second RBI of the day on a groundout which scored Eberle to make it a 7-1 game and the Blue Jays added three more runs in the fifth taking advantage of a passed ball and a throwing error on a sacrifice fly by Eberle which made the score 10-1 game.
• Robby Faris came into the game in the sixth as a pinch hitter and promptly doubled home DeGiacomo to give Johns Hopkins a 10-run lead. Hopkins tacked on four more runs in the eighth which included a two-RBI double from Jack Walters, an RBI double from Pete Manny, and a sacrifice fly from Mark Lopez as the Blue Jays came away with a 15-1 victory.

• After entering the game as a pinch hitter, Manny led JHU with two hits and knocked in one run.
• Walters finished the game 1-2 with two RBIs while Eberle went 1-2 with an RBI and two runs scored.
• Making his first career start today was Linton who went the first three innings giving up four hits and one run. He walked none and struck out four. Dillard got his first collegiate win going three innings with one walk and three strikeouts. Jaykob Cave-Stevens, John Donohue and Seamus Ryan-Johnson pitched the remaining three innings and allowed just two hits while combining for four strikeouts.
