Box Score The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team opened its spring break trip with a 13-11 setback to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Hilton Head, S.C.
Trailing by three at the break, the Mules (1-1) netted four of the first five goals of the second half to pull within one at 8-7 with 17:12 to go. The Engineers (2-0) followed with the next three goals to open a four goal lead before the game closed with the teams trading pairs of goals over the final 8:44.
Junior
Gabriella Crivelli and sophomore
Taliah Carson put the Mules up 2-0 in the first 3:34 each on free position goals. RPI answered with the next five tallies.
Carson (pictured above) finished the day with three goals, two on free position shots, for her first-career hat trick.
Senior
Amanda Tullo also recorded a hat trick. The attacker has a goal in 15 straight games dating back to last season, totaling 48 goals during that span.
Crivelli scored twice, while senior
Emma Carmody finished with a goal and an assist.
Freshman
Madeline Dill found the back of the net for the first time in her career with 8:44 left in the second half. The goal stopped RPI's three goal run.
Junior
Victoria Friedel netted her fourth goal of the season.
