SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Lacrosse was stifled on the road on Saturday by the No. 14 Dickinson College Red Devils and fell 19-4.
The Garnet scored a goal each quarter, but couldn't keep pace with the Red Devils who exploded for 13 goals in the second half.
Austin Chang led Swarthmore with a pair of goals.
Zander Levitz and
Mason Evarts each scored once.
Jake Ross had a pair of assists and
Alec Ferry had the other helper.
Frankie Dillon recorded six saves in the setback.
Dickinson's Jack O'Connell proved to be hard to stop as he led the way with seven goals. As a team, the Red Devils posted 51 shots compared to Swarthmore's 26.
Swarthmore had the game even at 1-1 midway through the first quarter, but Dickinson went on a 5-1 spurt the rest of the first half. The Red Devils ran away with it in the second half, out-scoring the Garnet 13-2 after the break.
Swarthmore moves on and now looks for its first conference win of the year on Saturday against McDaniel.
