The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team (8-4, 3-2 CC) prepares for three Centennial Conference games after splitting its conference matchups last week. F&M hosts Washington College (1-10, 0-5 CC) Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. before hitting the road to play Gettysburg (6-6, 3-2 CC) Thursday at 8:00 p.m. The Diplomats wrap up the week with a home game against McDaniel (5-5, 2-3 CC) Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Last Week

The Diplomats split their first two games of 2023, picking up a 77-73 victory over Muhlenberg before falling to No. 17 Swarthmore, 94-93, in double overtime.

In the win against Muhlenberg, F&M capped the first half with a 9-2 run to carry a 30-23 lead into the halftime intermission. The Diplomats closed out the game by shooting 59.3 percent from the field and 71.4 percent from beyond the arc to beat the Mules. Josh Parra tallied a double-double, finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Vakaris Grauslys and Mark Suchy followed with 13 points each in the win. Read the full recap here.

Franklin & Marshall put up a hard fought battle against No. 17 Swarthmore that went to double overtime, but the Diplomats came up just short as they fell 94-93. Five of F&M's starters finished in double figures, led by John Seidman's 24-point performance. Parra recorded his fifth double-double of the season as he racked up 15 points and 11 rebounds in the game. Read the full recap here.

Last Time

Franklin & Marshall defeated Washington College 69-55 in its last matchup during the 2021-22 season. F&M never trailed in the contest and led by as much as 14 points in the victory. Solomon Mathis '22 put up a game-high 20 points in the win. Read the full recap here.

Washington College has not beaten Franklin & Marshall since the 2019-20 season.

F&M's last win against Gettysburg came during the 2018-19 campaign, where the Diplomats used a big second half surge to defeat the Bullets 58-54. J.C. McGrath '19 finished with a double-double (17 points and 13 rebounds) while coming off the bench. Matt Redhead '21 also finished in double figures as he chipped in 12 points in the win. The Diplomats and Green Terror split their series last year with F&M winning on its Senior Day, 77-55. Franklin & Marshall led by as much as 25 points in the game as the Diplomats shot 55.2 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from behind the three-point line in the contest. Washington College Team Preview

Washington College's lone win this season came in mid-December when it edged Goucher, 82-80. WAC ranks first in the conference for three-point attempts, racking up 35.5 attempts per game with 11.5 three-pointer made per contest. Guard Kedrick Frink leads Washington College in points and rebounds, averaging 14.9 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per meeting.

Gettysburg Team Preview

The Bullets face Muhlenberg Tuesday evening before hosting F&M on Thursday. Coming into the matchup with the Mules, Gettysburg looks to build upon its two-game winning streak. Guard Carl Schaller leads Gettysburg in points, averaging 11.6 points per game. Opponents face a tall task scoring inside as forward Ryan McKeon leads the Centennial Conference in blocks, averaging 2.7 blocks per contest.

McDaniel Team Preview

Before facing F&M, McDaniel battles Haverford and Johns Hopkins. In its last two games, McDaniel has lost to Swarthmore, 84-58, and Muhlenberg, 80-55. Guard Charles Contee and forward Jonas Sujeta are the Green Terror's top scorers, averaging 11.2 and 11.1 points per game, respectively. Contee also ranks second in the CC in assists, averaging 3.9 per matchup.
