The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's cross country team finished third for the second straight season at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships. The Blue Jays will now wait and see if they are selected for the NCAA Championships. JHU has qualified for the last two NCAA Championships and the Blue Jays are currently ranked sixth in the nation; the top two teams at the NCAA Regional Championships automatically qualify for the NCAAs, while 16 at-large entries will be announced on Sunday.

Race Highlights
• The Blue Jays got out well early, but were unable to maintain their top positions and by the time the last leg of the race got going JHU was too far back to make a move in the race on a wet and muddy course.
• Harley Moyer of Washington & Jefferson won the race with a time of 25:55, two seconds ahead of Ryan Herlihy of Haverford. The Fords and Carnegie Mellon runners packed up in the front as the Fords placed two runners in the top-five while Tartans placed three runners in the top-12.

Jared Pangallozzi was the top-finisher for Hopkins as he placed 12
th with a time of 26:23, which was just one second behind Josh Kalapos of Carnegie.
Andrew King was the next Blue Jay to cross the finish line as he finished 17
th with a time of 26:31. That time was three seconds faster than Andrew Singh of Carnegie Mellon who placed 19
th.
• Earning All-Region honors along with Pangallozzi and King was
Scott Pourshalchi, who finished in 30
th with a time of 26:52. The top 35 finishers in the race earn All-Region honors.
