GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Washington College women's swim team opened its 2022-23 season this afternoon at Bullets Pool in Gettysburg in a Centennial Conference quad meet. The Shorewomen topped Bryn Mawr, 142-117, while falling to Dickinson (170-87) and host Gettysburg (196-63).

Shorewomen Highlights

Emily Iampieri had Washington's top showing with a second place finish in the 50 freestyle as she had a time of 25.40, just .02 behind Dickinson's
Caroline Wasilevski, who won the event with a time of 25.38.

Lilly Hartmann nabbed third in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:18.51, the only non-Gettysburg swimmer to finish in the top four.

Kylee Smith took third in the 100 butterfly (1:00.78).
- The 400 freestyle relay team of Smith, Iampieri,
Emma Schultz and
Anna Miller captured third with a time of 3:45.69.
Notes
- The Shorewomen are 1-2 overall and in the Centennial. The Bullets are 3-0 overall and 3-0 in the Centennial, the Red Devils are 2-1 and 2-1 respectively and the Owls are 0-3 and 0-3 respectively. In the other results of the quad meet, Gettysburg topped Bryn Mawr (206-55) and Dickinson (160-99) and Dickinson bested Bryn Mawr (174-85).
