Scott hit a layup as time expired in the quarter to make the score 16-12 after 10 minutes of play.

Later in the quarter Cole hit two free throws to get Johns Hopkins to within seven, 27-20, at 2:30, but a 4-0 Scranton run made it a 31-20 game with 1:13 remaining in the half and the Lady Royals would take a 34-23 lead into the halftime break.
Lexie Scholtz hit two free throws early in the third to get the Blue Jays back to within single digits as she made the score 34-25 at 9:31. Scholtz once again cut the Scranton lead to single digits with a layup at 3:53 which made the score 39-30. The Lady Royals responded with a 7-2 run to pull ahead 46-32 with two minutes remaining and they headed into the game's final quarter with a 46-34 advantage.

Mason then drilled a three for the Royals to make the score 49-40 but Scott once again came down the court for the layup to make it a 49-42 game. Scranton responded with a 6-0 run to pull ahead 55-42 with 3:337 left in the contest but Scott converted two free throws to make the score 55-44 with 1:53 left in the game.
