Capetta caps an historic comeback

CLERMONT, Fla. (March 17, 2022) - Sophomore infielder Maddie Capetta (Raritan, N.J.) slugged two home runs including a walk-off, two-run blast in the bottom of the ninth to lift Salve Regina University softball to an amazing come-from-behind victory, 10-9, over the Green Terror of McDaniel College on St. Patrick's Day at Hancock Park.

Capetta capped off a three-game slate at the Hanock Park clover with the Seahawks earning wins in their last two games after dropping a five-inning contest to the No. 9 Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors.

The Seahawks also earned a 5-2 triumph over New York University in their second game of the day.
