Ethan Grossman and junior
Scott Fayan combined for 10 goals to lead the Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team to a season-opening 14-7 win over FDU-Florham.
Grossman netted four goals and handed out four assists to tie the program's single-game points record with eight. Fayan found the back of the net six times – tying for the second most in a single-game in program history – and tacked on an assist for seven points.
The Mules (1-0) jumped out to an early lead by scoring the game's first four goals, including two from Grossman, and never looked back. Muhlenberg held a 5-2 lead after the first quarter before outscoring the Red Devils (0-1) 4-2 in the second quarter, highlighted by three goals from Fayan, to hold a 9-4 halftime lead.
Muhlenberg dominated the faceoff dot, winning 21-of-23 draws. Junior
Frankie Feaster and sophomore
Matt Burke (pictured above) were perfect in faceoffs, combining for 15 wins. Burke's 10 faceoff wins helped him to a team-high seven ground balls.

Garrett Pope picked up the win between the pipes with 12 saves.
