Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team (5-2, 2-1 CC) looks to continue its winning streak when it hosts Scranton (6-0, 1-0 Landmark) for a non-conference matchup at the Mayser Center Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

Last Week

Franklin & Marshall had a successful week as it picked up two conference victories, beating Dickinson and Haverford.

In front of a packed home crowd, the Diplomats pushed past Dickinson on Tuesday evening, 64-59. Josh Parra finished with a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) to lead the F&M offense. John Seidman also finished with double-digit points as he racked up 16 points in the contest, shooting 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from the field. Read the full recap here.

F&M downed Haverford, 83-70, on the road Saturday afternoon. Four of the five starters for the Diplomats finished with double-digit scoring figures, as Omar Nichols led the offense with 23 points. Nichols also hit five three-pointers in the contest. Seidman ended his night with 17 points and seven rebounds in the win. Parra and Vakaris Grauslys both tallied 12 points. F&M as a team shot 51.8 percent (29-of-56) from the field and 34.6 percent (9-of-26) from beyond the arc in the game. Read the full recap here.

Last Time

The two programs met last season where Scranton outlasted F&M, 89-81 in overtime. Solomon Mathis '22 had a career day as he racked up 28 points while shooting 47.6 percent (10-of-21) from the field. Nichols tallied 14 points, while Seidman closely followed with 13 points. Riiny Giir finished with 12 points and corralled six rebounds off the bench. Read the full recap here.

F&M has not beaten Scranton since the 2004-05 season where the Diplomats downed the Royals, 79-68.

Three Royals average double-digit points this season, led by Stephen Braunstein averaging 18.8 points per game. Danzig averages 17.4 points per game, while Will McLoughlin follows with 16.2 points per contest. The Royals have the 15th-best field goal percentage in the nation, shooting 49.4 percent. Scranton also forces a lot of turnovers, as the team ranks 11th in the nation in steals per game with 12.2.

College House Night/Holiday Hangout

Wednesday's game is College House Night and the men's basketball "Holiday Hangout." We welcome fans from Bonchek, Brooks, Roschel, Ware, and Weis College Houses to the game. SALC will be conducting a 50/50 raffle in which the winner will be announced at halftime. There will also be a prize raffle at the game.
