Multiple Blue Jays performed strongly in their first full squad meet of 2022. The Blue Jays won three events at Susquehanna.
Meet Winners
- Bryce Thalheimer led the Blue Jay efforts, running the 19th-fastest mile time in DIII so far this year, winning the event with a time of 4:25.19 to win the event by just more than a second. Thalheimer's time is the second-fastest mile for the Jays this season.
- Arthur Beyer, Alex Dixon, Daniel Chen & Matthew Kleiman combined to dominate the Distance Medley Relay, winning the event by 23 seconds with a finishing time of 10:28.63. It is currently the fastest DMR time in the country.
- Freshman Ethan Oluwole won the triple jump for the Blue Jays, edging out the competition with a leap of 13.51m. Oluwole's jump puts him in the top-30 nationally.
Other Key Performers
- Charlie Teeter finished third in the mile, placing himself in the top-50 nationally with a time of 4:29.69.
- Tommy Li, Andres Melendez, Matt Sandifer & Gavin McElhennon combined to finish second in the DMR. The quarter's time of 10:51.23 is currently the third-fastest time in Division III.
