GAMBIER, Ohio--No. 25 Swarthmore College Women's Tennis had a tough task in front of it on Sunday when it faced No. 11 Kenyon College on the road. The Garnet took one match, falling 8-1 to the Kenyon Ladies.

The overall match was closer than the final score suggested as Swarthmore had three of the singles matches go to three sets each.

The Garnet lone win came in third doubles as Elise Talley and Sophie Brown took that match 8-2. Talley is now a team-best 6-2 when playing in doubles matches this season.

Julia Gokhberg and Shirline Wee slipped 8-6 in the first doubles match and Emma Kassan and Vivien Fernandez-Ravelo fell 8-5 in third doubles.

Kassan got blanked in the first set of top singles but rallied for a 6-4 win in set two. However, she fell 7-5 in the third set. Fernandez-Ravelo won her the first set of third singles 6-3, but fell in three sets. Wee also had a 6-3 win in her first set of fifth singles but was ultimately dropped in a super tiebreaker 10-2.

Swarthmore returns home to face Ursinus on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
