Johns Hopkins Rallies to Defeat Gettysburg, 2-1

• The Short Story: The ninth-ranked Johns Hopkins men's soccer team rallied from an early deficit to defeat host Gettysburg, 2-1, on Saturday night in Centennial conference action.
 
How it Happened
• The Bullets got on the board early when Oladayo Thomas intercepted a Blue Jay pass and buried a shot to the lower right corner in the seventh minute.
• The Blue Jays drew level in the 23rd minute when the Bullets were whistled for a foul in the box. Junior Liam Creedon took the penalty kick for Hopkins and beat Gettysburg keeper Thomas Keane for the score.
• Hopkins then grabbed the lead in the 61st minute when junior Jonathon Brown dribbled into the box and fired a low shot to the left corner.
 
What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 52-22-11 all-time against Gettysburg. This is the sixth win for the Blue Jays in the last seven meetings. Each of the last five meetings have been decided by just one goal.

• Gettysburg had the advantage in shots, 16-13, and corners, 6-2.
• Junior Xander LeFevre finished with seven saves in the win, while Keane made four in the loss for the Bullets.
