NEW YORK, N.Y. - Swarthmore College Men's Track & Field returned to competition at the Lions Invitational at the 168th Street Armory on Saturday afternoon.
On the track,
Aidan Cantine led the Garnet with a third place finish in the mile. The junior crossed the finish line in 4:19.60.
Sam Brody added a time of 4:35.33, while
Robert Mirabello finished in 4:55.09.
Elliot Kenaston followed shortly behind in 4:56.17.
In the 500-meter dash,
Ethan Rothenberg earned an eighth place finish with a time of 1:10.94.
Zach Gillette crossed in 1:11.99. while
Ben Wade finish in 1:13.73. The 3,000-meter event saw a seventh place finish from
Aiden Tomov. The junior crossed in 8:44.56, while
Harrison Kim finished in 9:05.34. Rowan Orlijan-Rhyne and
Colin DeLaney finished the race in 9:11.74 and 9:11.99, respectively.
Rothenberg, Wade, Cantine and Irwin earned a 15th place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:43.64.
In the field events,
Lukas Irwin earned a ninth place finish with a mark of 11.22 meters (36'-9.75").
Bastiaan Phair recorded a throw of 10.72 meters (35'-2") in the shot put event.
Swarthmore returns to the track next Saturday at the Villanova Invite. The meet is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
