WESTMINSTER, Md. - Led by six-straight wins, including two tech falls, the 24th-ranked McDaniel College wrestling team posted a 26-15 victory over Gettysburg in its final home match Wednesday inside the Gill Center.

After losing two of the first three matches, the Green Terror (8-8, 2-1 CC) won six of the final seven, scoring 22 consecutive points to secure their four win in six matches at home this season.

Led by a pin from Luke Kowalski, who is ranked third in the Mid-East Region at 133 pounds, Gettysburg (2-6, 1-3 CC) jumped out to a 9-4 advantage before reigning Centennial Conference Athlete of the Week, freshman Thomas Monn, recorded a 23-6 win by tech fall.

Ranked third in the nation, Monn improved to 25-0 this season and 14-0 in dual matches while picking up his first career tech fall as he totaled eight takedowns and two near falls.

After Monn tied the match at 9-9, sophomore Xavier Howard put McDaniel in front with a decision at 157 pounds before freshman Andre Allen picked up his first win in his first match at 165 pounds with an 11-8 decision. Allen has seven wins this season, including four at 149 pounds, two at 157 and one at 165.

The Green Terror doubled their lead with a win at 174 pounds from junior Yoann Olympio who picked up his fourth win in the last five with an 11-5 decision before senior Michael Bromley sealed the win with his first career tech fall at 184 pounds in which he recorded 10 takedowns and one near fall.

With the match secured, junior Jaedyn Harris improved to 15-1 in dual matches this season as he edged out a 4-2 decision at 197 pounds.

McDaniel travels to Muhlenberg on Saturday to face the Mules and Merchant Marine.
