FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – First-years Jason Edmonds and Abhinav Nallapareddy won the B2 Doubles draw at the ITA Southeast Regional on Saturday afternoon, headlining day two of the regional championship for the Haverford College men's tennis team.

The Edmonds/Nallapareddy pairing started the morning session with an 8-0 blanking of its opponents from Wilkes before doubling up on Hampden-Sydney's duo to capture the draw championship. Patrick Kley and Arnav Patodia were also in the semifinals of the B1 Doubles draw, but fell to Southern Virginia by an 8-5 score.

Haverford had three singles players alive in the championship bracket of their respective draws entering play on Saturday. After toppling the No. 9 seed in the Championship Singles draw to advance to Saturday, Kevin Yan saw his ITA Regional Championship run come to a close with a 6-3, 6-1 defeat at the hands of fourth-seeded Revanth Boppano of Carnegie Mellon. In consolation action for Championship Singles, George Jiang rolled off two straight wins after falling to the No. 5 seed on Friday. He started his day with a walkover victory before defeating Salisbury's Bradley Pappatardo in a 10-point tiebreak. Jiang showed great resilience in the tiebreak as he nearly solidified a straight-set victory, but came up just shy in the tiebreak before rallying back for the victory.

Pranav Krishnan and Jun Mo were both semifinalists in their respective B1 and B3 Singles draws. Krishnan dropped a hard-fought 7-5 set against Swarthmore which allowed the Garnet's Noah Cheng to ultimately prevail. Mo fell by a 6-4, 6-3 score in his semifinal against Southern Virginia's Ethan Sherwood. Making his mark in the consolation draws, Rob Kresch won both of his matches in B2 Singles on Saturday. He defeated opponents from Christopher Newport and Salisbury to end his weekend on a high note as both of those victories came in straight sets.

The 2019 ITA Regional Championship marked the end of the fall schedule for the Fords. With the vast majority of their schedule taking place in spring dual meets, the Fords will return to competition on Friday, February 28 when the team hosts TCNJ.
