th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win over Ursinus in its Centennial Conference opener Saturday afternoon.

• Hopkins grabbed a 3-0 lead after doubles to take early control of the match. Freshman
Eric Burrer and sophomore
Alex Matisse earned an 8-5 win over Mason Groff and Matt Fontanese at first doubles. Sophomore
Jack Hogan and freshman
Brian Wang dropped just one game in their win at second over Simbarashe Kanjanda and Connor DeFaber-Schumacher. Freshman
Naevin Anukornchaikul and sophomore
Robby Simon won be default at third.
• Anukornchaikul dropped just two games in his win over Groff at first 6-1, 6-1. Wang also won easily in straight sets, topping DeFaber-Schumacher 6-2, 6-1.
• Sophomore
Matt Lurie picked up a straight sets wins over Fontanese 6-4, 7-5 at third. Burrer won his first set 6-1 at fourth over Kanjanda, who then retired in the second. Simon needed just 12 games to beat Jake Lachowicz at fifth and Hogan won by default at sixth.

• Hopkins improves to 39-4 all-time against Ursinus and has won 28 straight in the series. The Blue Jays run their Centennial Conference regular season win streak to 26. Hopkins has won 110 of its last 111 regular season conference matches.
