• The Short Story: Competing in the silver race at the Louisville Classic, the Johns Hopkins men placed sixth on Saturday afternoon.

Race Highlights      
Matthew Kleiman led Johns Hopkins once again, placing 10th in the event with a time of 24:41.8. Kleiman continues his impressive start to the season as the junior has thrived while taking on a larger role in 2021. Sophomore Gavin McElhennon was the next Jay to cross the finish line, finishing the race in 25:26.0. Daniel Chen (25:35.0) and Arthur Beyer (25:36.4) were the next two Hopkins athletes to finish the race. Senior captain Tyler Amos was the final scorer for the Blue Jays, finishing in 25:39.5, just under 11 seconds ahead of teammate Jonas Larson who placed 61st. The 11th-ranked Jays finished behind #5 MIT, #9 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, #16 Emory, #14 UW-Lacrosse and #6 North Central. Johns Hopkins finished ahead of #23 Lynchburg, #19 Calvin, and #24 UC-Santa Cruz in a loaded race in Louisville.
