Gettysburg places third in 36-hole marathon at Dickinson

THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg carded seven individual rounds of 74 or better on a rain-soaked 36-hole, one-day Dickinson Spring Invitational. The Bullets carded a round of 294 in the morning and 293 in the afternoon to finish with a score of 587 and place third.

THE LEADERS
Cam Deiuliis (Highland, Md./River Hill) finished with a one-over par score on the day to lead the Bullets, placing fifth overall. He fired an even-par 72 in the morning before carding a second-round score of 73 to finish with a 145.

FOR THE FOES
• Swarthmore won the seven-team tournament by four strokes over Dickinson with a score of 575 (289-286). The Red Devils posted a score of 579 (293-286).

THE REST OF THE STORY
Daniel Suter (Gaithersburg, Md./Milton Academy) and Graeme Hollingshead (Basking Ridge, N.J./Gill St. Bernard's) both finished one stroke behind his teammate in a tie for seventh place. Suter fired an even-par 72 in the morning followed by a 74 while Hollingshead posted his even-par round in the afternoon after carding a 74 in the morning. Both finished with a score of 146.
Patrick Kilcoyne (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) placed 17th overall with a score of 150, posting a round of 76 to start his day and finishing with a 74.
Corey Haydu (Doylestown, Pa./LaSalle College) rounded out the Gettysburg competitors in 25th place overall with a score of 154, registering matching rounds of 77.

THE INSIDE STORY
• It was the second straight tournament that the Bullets played 36 holes in one day.

Gettysburg returns to action at its own Gettysburg Spring Shootout at Penn National on Saturday and Sunday. Tee times begin at 10:30 a.m. both days.
