CHESTERTOWN, Md. –
Sierra Tyson recorded a triple double as Swarthmore College Volleyball defeated Washington College (Md.) in a crucial mid-week Centennial Conference match.
Swarthmore earned the four set victory over Washington with set scores 25-20, 25-16, 24-26 and 25-20.
Tyson notched 26 assist, 20 digs and 11 kills as she recorded a triple-double for the second time this season. The only other time Tyson earned a triple-double was on September 28th in a four set victory over McDaniel. Tyson sealed the match with a kill from
Alyssa Nathan in the fourth set.
Nathan closed out the second with a kill as Swarthmore earned a 25-16 set victory. Nathan finished the contest with 12 digs, five assist and two kills.
Mehra den Braven added 17 digs, 15 kills and two assist.
Emma Morgan-Bennett led the Garnet with a .400 hitting percentage and a solo block. The senior middle blocker added five assist, one service ace and an assist. The Garnet are 9-1 in the last ten matches against Washington (Md.), which have gone four sets or less.
Swarthmore hosts Gettysburg on Saturday at 1:00 PM in a pivotal Centennial Conference match.
